Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller is engaged to actress Noureen DeWulf.

According to WIVB.com, Miller proposed over the weekend to his girlfriend of almost a year.

“I’m definitely happy,” Miller told the station. “Noureen and I got engaged and we can talk about it a little later. We’re happy, excited, I think she is an awesome person.”

As for popping the question, Miller says he didn’t let his nerves get to him.

“Of course you’re nervous, it’s a big decision but it’s surprisingly easy, it’s something I really want to do, it’s something that makes me happy.”
